Mobile Satellite Users Association Recognizes Inmarsat’s Rebecca Cowen-Hirsch

The Mobile Satellite Users Association has given its first President’s Award to Rebecca Cowen-Hirsch, a member of its board of directors and senior vice president of government strategy and policy at Inmarsat. She has served on the board for 15 years, acting as a liaison for new industry entities and providing technical know-how to assist organizations working to comply with regulations, Inmarsat said Monday.

MSUA is a nonprofit that advocates for worldwide satellite mobile development through information and idea-sharing. Inmarsat is one of its founding members.

Cowen-Hirsch, a 4×24 member, is in charge of Inmarsat’s policy and outreach efforts with the U.S. government. In 2021, she had an interview with ExecutiveBiz where she talked about space technology challenges and her company’s workforce development priorities.

She has more than 25 years of experience in the defense and aerospace industry. Before joining Inmarsat, she was the program executive officer for satellite communications, teleport and service at the Defense Information Systems Agency.
