National Security Agency Awards Leidos $700M Development Support Contract

Reston, Virginia-based Leidos has announced a $700 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity prime contract to provide the National Security Agency with prototyping and development support.

Work to support the NSA’s analyst community will include delivering subject matter expertise, developing analytic techniques and forecasting emerging technology use, Leidos said. Such efforts are intended to determine feasibility, reduce technical risks and validate and evolve mission requirements.

The company said it would also test features and “qualify products or processes” early in conceptualization and demonstration to minimize scheduling impacts and costs for the government.

Leidos Intelligence Group President Roy Stevens, a 4×24 member and 2023 Wash100 winner, said the award continues efforts to create next-generation technology solutions for the intelligence community. As part of a realignment unveiled in November, Stevens is expected to lead the company’s new national security operating group.

Leidos holds a seven-year, $375 million prime contract with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to deliver technical and management support.
