Navy Awards ManTech $88M Weapons, Systems Test, Evaluation Task Order

ManTech International has secured a five-year, $88 million task order from the Naval Surface Warfare Center-Dahlgren Division for test and evaluation support for the Navy’s weapons and combat systems.

ManTech will work on various software programs and safety certifications for Navy weapons and combat systems, including the Aegis Combat System and the Ship Self-Defense Systems Aircraft Carrier-Nuclear Propulsion. Other services to be provided are technical mission analysis and engineering expertise for naval ships and sites across the globe, ManTech said Wednesday.

David Hathaway, executive vice president and general manager of the company’s defense sector, said ManTech can deliver test and evaluation support at speed to ensure that the Navy’s systems will continue to perform and meet current and future requirements. The Potomac Officers Club member added that the NSWCDD’s trust in the organization is a testament to the dedication of its team of experts.

The new contract is awarded as a result of a recompete. In 2017, ManTech received a T&E task order from NSWCDD for test and evaluation services with the same coverage as the new contract.

ManTech offers technology solutions and services to defense, intelligence and federal civilian agencies. It is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, and has multiple offices across the U.S.
