NCI Information Systems Promotes Chuck Hicks as Full-Time COO

Chuck Hicks has formally assumed the position of chief operating officer for NCI Information Systems after taking on the role in an acting capacity back in March. 

As COO, Hicks will be tasked with developing operational efficiencies across different business areas, fostering industry partnerships and driving enterprise-wide collaboration and innovation. 

Hicks will now fulfill the responsibilities of the COO position on a full-time basis while also carrying out his duties as NCI’s chief financial officer, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

NCI President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Dillahay, a Potomac Officers Club member and 2020 Wash100 Award winner, touted Hicks’ financial acumen, which he said will be critical in creating greater efficiencies at the company. Dilahay also believes that Hicks’ expertise will help facilitate business transformations as NCI continues to deliver advanced artificial intelligence solutions and modernized information technology systems for federal government clients.  

Speaking about his appointment, Hicks expressed commitment to delivering forward-thinking technologies and best-in-class solutions to NCI’s government partners. According to Hicks, NCI’s efforts towards expanding AI capabilities will help advance the missions of its customers. 

Throughout his 20 year career, Hicks has provided financial management expertise to a wide range of industries, including government contracting, public accounting, healthcare and commercial real estate.

He transitioned to NCI after serving more than one-and-a-half years as the CFO of Cresa Global. Previously, he also filled executive positions at SC3, ASRC Federal, SAIC and USIS. In addition, Hicks is a POC member and a retired Navy personnel, with six years of experience serving as a petty officer 2nd class with the Hospital Corpsman.
