AECOM-EnSafe JV Lands Potential $400M Navy Contract for Environmental Services
Resolution Consultants, a joint venture between AECOM and EnSafe, has secured a potential $400 million architecture and engineering contract with the U.S. Navy.
The single-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract calls for services in support of the Comprehensive Long-Term Environmental Action Navy program. The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command is the contracting activity, AECOM said Wednesday.
The contract calls for studies, program management and technical services aimed at addressing environmental challenges.
The joint venture will work to address contaminants, munitions and hazardous substances to help the Navy meet its environmental restoration mandates, including ones from the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act.
Frank Sweet, chief executive of AECOM’s global environment business, said that Resolution Consultants will use sound restoration strategies and prioritize safety in helping the Navy achieve its goals.
Karl Jensen, executive vice president of national governments business unit, added that the company’s team of specialists have consistently delivered high-quality environmental services.
“We’re honored to provide our clients with an established team that has the proven ability to deliver vital environmental programs, Jensen said.
Headquartered in California, AECOM is an infrastructure consulting firm that serves clients in the transportation, buildings, water, energy and environment sectors.
In February, a joint venture between AECOM and Michael Baker International also received a potential $75 million NAVFAC contract to support compliance programs.
AECOM said the contract covers studies, plans, specifications, designs, reports and cost estimates in support of the Department of Defense and other government agencies.
