Agile Space Industries to Develop Advanced Propulsion System for True Anomaly’s Jackal AOV

Agile Space Industries and True Anomaly are partnering to develop a cutting-edge propulsion system for True Anomaly’s Jackal autonomous orbital vehicle.

Under the agreement, Agile Space will manufacture critical propulsion components, including main engines, attitude control thrusters and propellant tanks.

The advanced system will empower True Anomaly’s Jackal to perform multi-orbit maneuvers, achieve high acceleration and meet high delta-V requirements, significantly increasing its operational flexibility, Agile Space said.

Agile Space will also provide propellant logistics services, including procurement, handling and spacecraft fueling, for the Jackal AOV, which will be launched in the VICTUS HAZE demonstration mission in 2025.

According to Agile Space CEO Chris Pearson, the resulting technology from the partnership will advance the space industry as a whole, leveraging Agile’s investments in state-of-the-art additive manufacturing and propulsion testing capabilities.

The partnership comes after True Anomaly’s contract award from the Space Systems Command for the VICTUS HAZE Tactically Responsive Space mission, which aims to showcase the potential of commercial space capabilities for future tactical space operations.
