Air Force Selects RII to Provide Software for Information Environment C2 Under $54M Contract

Research Innovations Inc. has secured a $54 million firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the U.S. Air Force to provide the service with software tools for the Command and Control of the Information Environment program.

According to a Department of Defense announcement, work involves developing software that can deliver artificial intelligence-enabled C2, situational awareness and data analytics capability to the Joint Force in support of integrated operations worldwide, DefenseScoop reported.

According to a request for information posted on SAM .gov in 2022, the C2IE system should enable interoperability between cloud computing reference architectures and integrated infrastructure and various Department of Defense databases. It should also be able to acquire and analyze publicly available information from social media, news publications and government releases to enhance warfighter capability to detect, monitor, assess, understand and act in the information environment.

RII will perform work in Arlington, Virginia, and other locations worldwide, including various government and contractor facilities. Work is expected to be completed on May 19, 2027.
