Amazon Web Services Grants Migration Competency Status to BAE Systems

BAE Systems has announced its attainment of Amazon Web Services Migration Competency, which it said indicates that it can support client missions with digital transformation and advanced cloud capabilities.

Coupled with the AWS Premier Tier Services and Independent Software Vendor designations, the new certification indicates expertise in cloud migration and enablement, BAE said.

The company added that the Migration Competency status also solidifies its national security cloud market leadership and reinforces its commitment to technology collaboration.

Daniel Perkins, director of strategy and technology partnerships within BAE’s intelligence and security segment, explained that the designation will allow his company to drive customers’ digital transformation while reducing risks and operational downtime.

According to Perkins, AWS is a key member of Mission Advantage, a program to build stronger relationships between BAE’s Intelligence & Security business and other organizations.

Companies such as Peraton and General Dynamics Information Technology have also achieved the AWS Migration Competency status.
