Army Awards IT Services, Cybersecurity Contract to Empower AI

Empower AI, a public sector-serving artificial intelligence technology company, will provide IT services and support to the U.S. Army 7th Signal Command under a recompete contract it recently secured. The potential $11 million task order, which was awarded under the Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – 3 Services contract, has a one-year base and two one-year options. Work to be performed at Army Network Enterprise Centers worldwide includes risk management framework validation testing to ensure systems and networks have a strong security posture, Empower AI said.

The 7th Signal Command is the Army’s premier communications provider with global reach. It enables the service’s ability to build, train, compete, fight and win across complex joint and coalition multi and all-domain environments.

Empower AI won the award after it secured a new $14 million contract from the Army Information Systems Engineering Command to support the modernization of the National Defense University’s systems infrastructure.

Under the contract with ISEC, the company will support the renovation of several auditoriums at Fort McNair in Washington, D.C., and at Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads in Virginia. Services to be provided include “engineering, furnishing, installation, securing, and testing (EFIS&T) of the C4I/IT systems, integration of systems, project management support data and on-site training,” Empower AI said in a press release.
