Army Taps RTX to Support Future Battlefield Analysis

The Futures and Concepts Center within the U.S. Army Futures Command has awarded RTX a contract to use the company’s Rapid Campaign Analysis and Demonstration Environment solution.

The collaboration aims to enhance the Army’s understanding of future battlefields by developing simulations of large-scale operational scenarios, RTX said.

RCADE incorporates real-world models, data and analytics to create virtual environments and provides FCC leaders with data-driven insights into multidomain conflicts, according to the aerospace and defense firm.

Through RCADE’s modeling and simulation capabilities, the Army will experiment with various battlefield scenarios, assess the impact of variables on mission outcomes and rapidly refine strategies, ultimately allowing the military service to identify critical capabilities to develop and deploy.

RTX engineers will work alongside the Army, combining its RCADE solution with the service branch’s analytical expertise.

The award follows RTX’s $75 million Army deal in February, where the company was tasked with providing 600 Coyote 2C anti-drone interceptors to support the increasing demand for counter-drone technology.
