ASRC Federal Secures $124M Support Role on NASA Engineering Services Contract

ASRC Federal has announced a subcontractor position worth up to $124 million on a potential five-year, $719 million NASA contract held by Space Networks Solutions, a KBR-Intuitive Machines joint venture that does business as Space & Technology Solutions.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity Omnibus Multidiscipline Engineering Services III contract is intended to support the Joint Polar Satellite System and On-orbit Servicing, Assembly and Manufacturing-1 programs, ASRC said.

JPSS is an in-development network of environmental satellites positioned at the Earth’s poles intended to enhance short and long-term forecasts and detect severe weather threats early. OSAM-1, meanwhile, is meant to provide a robotic refueling and maintenance capability in space.

According to a press release, ASRC Federal subsidiaries ASRC Federal System Solutions and Space Coast Aerospace Services will work at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland to deliver hardware and software engineering services for the programs.

ASRC Federal CEO and President Jennifer Felix, a past Wash100 winner, said the award expands her company’s ongoing support for NASA.
