AWS Intelligence Community Marketplace Adds Rubrik Security Cloud

The Amazon Web Services Marketplace for the U.S. Intelligence Community now offers Rubrik Security Cloud, which is meant to provide zero-trust data protection capabilities using machine learning. Specifically, Rubrik aims to offer a way to easily set up an enterprise-level cybersecurity platform that offers data resilience, observability and remediation capabilities.

According to Brendan McCarthy, vice president of federal sales, a “high percentage” of IC members are already customers, Rubrik said Wednesday.

The AWS Marketplace for the U.S. IC began operations as a means to cater to users aiming to deploy applications in a cloud separate from public internet. Products on offer are centered around big data, analytics, information security and cloud transition support, among others.

Carahsoft Technology recently announced that it would work to accelerate the cloud transition of its independent software vendor and reseller pools and its public sector customers in partnership with AWS. Craig Abod, Carahsoft president and a 2022 Wash100 winner, said that the collaboration opens up pathways for such businesses to strengthen ties with the cloud environment provider, reduce time-to-market and conduct digital transformation efforts.

AWS operates a program specifically for ISVs aimed at providing sales support and widening availability. Gigamon, a network visibility solution developer, is one company that recently began participating in the initiative.
