BAE Systems Books $86M Navy Contract for MDC5ISR Support

BAE Systems has secured an $86 million contract extension to continue its support of the U.S. Navy’s mobile deployable command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance programs.

The five-year contract, awarded by the U.S Naval Air Systems Command, will see BAE Systems providing technical and engineering solutions for legacy and new MDC5ISR platforms.

The contract encompasses various MDC5ISR products, including small craft, transportable systems, en-route communication systems and intra-platform systems, BAE Systems said.

Support will benefit the U.S. Navy, Special Operations Forces, Homeland Security and other Department of Defense agencies.

“Our team brings an unmatched level of expertise to the program,” said Lisa Hand, vice president and general manager of BAE Systems’ Integrated Defense Solutions. “We are proud to continue our support to warfighters deployed around the globe.”

BAE Systems will execute the work in Lexington Park and St. Inigoes in Maryland and in Little Creek, Virginia.
