Canton Group Receives New Contract to Support Transportation Department’s OIG Website
The Canton Group, a provider of innovative technology solutions, has received a contract to provide the Department of Transportation‘s Office of Inspector General website with information technology operations support and maintenance services.
The recent award marks the second contract that the firm won from the DOT OIG.
Canton created the DOT OIG’s public-facing Drupal website in 2009 and has since supported the platform.
The website pioneered dashboards, remediates vulnerabilities and supports the DOT OIG in delivering a “modern, secure” and federally compliant platform, Canton said Tuesday.
The new DOT OIG contract tasks the firm to provide web applications, maintenance, monitoring and general security updates. Canton’s Drupal experts will also work to guide the DOT OIG through the migration to Drupal 9.
Additionally, Canton will provide a DevSecOps team to engage the OIG in partnering with all key support initiatives needed to execute a “user-centric site.” The efforts will include performing migrations aimed at ensuring that the website’s content management system is fully optimized and adheres to best practices.
“The Canton Group has remained at the forefront of rapid changes in technology which allows us to maintain digital trends in web strategies and modernization,” Chief Executive Officer Ethan Kazi said in a statement.
Kazi noted the importance of federal and state organizations pivoting to delivering “exceptional levels of quality and security” through web platforms to best serve the public.
The company’s recent award is the result of an acquisition process that saw participation from 28 other companies throughout the U.S.
