Carahsoft, Cygnus Offer New Turnkey Cloud Services Stack for Government Agencies

Carahsoft Technology, a government information technology solutions provider, and Cygnus Technologies, a cloud-focused technology reseller and services provider, have released a new turnkey cloud services stack designed for organizations in the public sector.

CloudStack allows federal, state and local government agencies to quickly deploy scalable zero trust capabilities supporting data management.

With CloudStack, users are able to manage, migrate and secure mission-critical data, which are created, shared and consumed across cloud, edge, data center and hybrid environments, Carahsoft said.

Employing an application programming interface-first, platform-agnostic architecture, CloudStack supports “maximum development flexibility.”

Customers can select their storage, compute, data protection, infrastructure monitoring, application and zero trust security components from a “flexible configuration menu,” Carahsoft noted, adding that such a capability accelerates the deployment of foundational cloud services technologies that can be operated either internally or by a third party as a service.

Under the partnership agreement, Carahsoft will serve as the lead distributor for the new turnkey cloud services stack. Meanwhile, Cygnus will provide configuration and installation services.

CloudStack’s hardware and ancillary software are supplied by Carahsoft’s vendors, including VMware, BluVector, Dell Technologies, Rubrik and Dynatrace.

According to Carahsoft Sales Vice President Maryam Emdadi, the company is proud to deliver a solution that will allow government organizations to “revolutionize” the way data is handled and protected.

“We are also thrilled to collaborate with vendor, services and reseller partners across the channel to make CloudStack responsive to the requirements of customers’ highly complex missions and environments,” Emdadi said in a statement.
