Carahsoft, Dremio Partner to Deliver Data Lakehouse Capability to Public Sector

Carahsoft Technology has announced that it will offer Dremio’s data analytics and management solutions to the public sector under a new partnership.

Dremio offers a data lakehouse service that features self-service analytics, data warehouse and Standard Query Language search functionality, Carahsoft said.

Government organizations could use such capabilities to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency while reducing spending on old data lake solutions, Carahsoft said. According to the government IT solutions provider, the partnership will replace a siloed approach with a data mesh to streamline data source handling and encourage cross-collaboration.

Roger Frey, Dremio’s vice president of alliances, shared that his company seeks to expand access to data “regardless of where it resides.”

Meanwhile, Laura Howton, a sales director leading Carahsoft’s analytics and data management team, said Dremio would be added to her company’s artificial intelligence and machine learning portfolio to support public sector modernization efforts.

Agencies can access Dremio’s offerings through Carahsoft’s reseller partners and contract vehicles such as NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V and the National Association of State Procurement Officials ValuePoint Master Agreement.
