Carahsoft Inks Distribution Agreement With Analytics Company SAS

Reston, Virginia-based Carahsoft Technology has announced that it will serve as a public sector distributor for artificial intelligence and data analytics software maker SAS.

All 15 executive departments of the federal government and all 50 states use SAS products, Carahsoft said.

The distribution agreement is expected to simplify the acquisition of solutions such as SAS Viya, a cloud-based responsible data and AI platform used by the government to detect fraud, process security intelligence, review medical records and conduct predictive maintenance. SAS’ other products are intended to support use cases such as data management, cloud computing and the internet of things.

Carahsoft President Craig Abod, a 2024 Wash100 winner, said providing agencies with AI and analytics tools will increase public-sector productivity, encourage data-driven decisions and foster innovation.

News of the agreement comes after SAS announced a revamped distribution model focused on increasing reseller utilization of indirect channels. Carahsoft said it expects to facilitate business growth for such partners and expand their access to new markets.
