Carahsoft to Offer Arqit Symmetric Key Agreement Platform to US Government

Quantum-safe encryption solutions provider Arqit Quantum has entered into a partnership with Carahsoft Technology to make the Arqit Symmetric Key Agreement Platform available to the U.S. government.

The platform enables end-customers to securely move from complex public-key infrastructure to a platform designed for the cloud and a network of connected devices.

The availability of the platform is made possible by Carahsoft acting as Arqit’s Master Government Aggregator. Under the agreement, governments interested in the solution can access it through the Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V contracts, Carahsoft said.

Arqit CEO David Williams said that by partnering with Carahsoft, the company aims to provide government clients a solution to simplify and strengthen their encryption to protect their data from cyberthreats.

Carahsoft has been helping other contractors make their products or services available to more governments. In early January, it started offering CrashPlan’s endpoint data backup and recovery software to the public sector and higher education institutions. It also extended a hand to SparkCognition to offer its Visual AI Advisor artificial intelligence-based visual security tool to the public sector.
