Carahsoft Launches Splunk’s Cloud-Based Analytics Tool on Azure
Carahsoft Technology has announced the availability of Splunk’s cloud-based data analytics platform on Microsoft Azure.
Splunk Enterprise Transformation with Azure is a scalable platform that government agencies can use to improve and accelerate their data collection functions, Carahsoft said.
Jeremy Rissi, public sector group vice president at Splunk, said the platform offers capabilities in data analytics, cloud-based storage, real-time processing and professional services.
Intelligence and law enforcement agencies can use Splunk Enterprise Transformation with Azure to more efficiently collect and analyze data related to security, Carahsoft said.
According to the IT distributor, real-time information access and data exploitation are key components of the government’s modernization efforts.
Jason Payne, chief technology officer of Microsoft’s federal division, said the platform was designed for agencies that need to rapidly process large amounts of data.
“Azure supports the delivery of thousands of applications and services to Government agencies with world-class security, protection and compliance,” Payne added.
Splunk’s offering is now available on Carahsoft’s NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V, National Association of State Procurement Officials ValuePoint, National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance, OMNIA Partners and The Quilt contracts.
IronNet Cybersecurity recently announced it became a manufacturer for Carahsoft’s potential $13 billion IT Enterprise Solutions – Software 2 contract with the Army.
Carahsoft may now provide IronNet software, software maintenance and ancillary services and hardware to enhance the government’s enterprise infrastructure and cybersecurity.
