Carahsoft to Distribute Coalfire FedRAMP Services to Google Cloud Customers
Carahsoft Technology has teamed up with Coalfire and Google Public Sector to deliver tools designed to speed up the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program authority to operate certification process and expand access to business opportunities with the government.
Carahsoft is expected to distribute Coalfire’s FedRAMP products and advisory services to federal, state and institutional users of Google Cloud. Coalfire aims to guide clients on the required architecture and documentation for authorization and provide a cost-effective means of identifying gaps.
Troy Bertram, managing director of Google Cloud’s Public Sector Partner Ecosystem, described FedRAMP certification as an “exponential business opportunity,” adding that Coalfire’s offerings could make a significant difference for government contractors.
Jeff Rector, Coalfire’s head of worldwide channels, emphasized his organization’s existing relationships with Google Cloud and Carahsoft. He emphasized that every cloud service and software-as-a-service provider should have a FedRAMP strategy, Carahsoft said.
Coalfire is also a registered third-party assessment organization for Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification, a program for businesses seeking business opportunities with the Department of Defense.
