Carahsoft to Distribute Geosite’s Business Intelligence Tools to Government Clients
Carahsoft announced that it has entered into a partnership to distribute Geosite’s business intelligence software products to government clients.
Customers in the Department of Defense, federal agencies and state-level agencies will have streamlined access to Geosite’s suite of software tools for applications that use spatial data, Carahsoft said Wednesday.
Rachel Olney, founder and CEO of Geosite, said that geospatial data affects most aspects of government operations, allowing agencies to allocate resources efficiently.
Olney added that despite the importance of geospatial data, the government’s acquisition of relevant tools is bogged down by administrative issues.
“This initiative cuts through the red tape and puts the necessary tools into the hands of those solving critical problems both at home and abroad,” Olney said.
Lacey Wean, manager of geospatial solutions at Carahsoft, said that large enterprises are becoming increasingly reliant on geospatial applications to manage their resources and outperform competitors.
Carahsoft said that Geosite’s solutions will be made available on the distributor’s NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V, Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – Software 2 and OMNIA Partners contracts. Geosite’s offerings will also be available to Carahsoft’s reseller partners.
Geosite’s platform has already proven its effectiveness in industries like the energy sector, according to Carahsoft.
Energy organizations have used Geosite’s solution to improve situational awareness and incident response management in distributed energy operations.
The technology has also been used in the insurance industry to support claims and underwriting processes related to flood depth measurement, wind damage analysis and continuous property monitoring, Carahsoft added.
