Carahsoft to Distribute Keeper Cybersecurity Offerings on $13B IT Contract
Keeper Security, a cybersecurity platform provider, is now a manufacturer for Carahsoft’s potential $13 billion Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – Software 2 contract with the Army.
ITES-SW2 is a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract managed by the Army Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions acquisition authority. The deal is effective through Aug. 30, 2025, Keeper Security said Tuesday.
Carahsoft may now provide Keeper Security software, software maintenance and ancillary services and hardware.
Keeper Security offers an enterprise security password management platform designed to help federal government agencies protect user credentials from data breaches.
The platform guides agencies through the adoption of multi-factor authentication and zero trust security principles, the company said. Zero trust is an emerging security model that denies access by default even to users inside a network’s security perimeter.
Dan Wilbricht, vice president of public sector at Keeper Security, added that the EPM platform can help users ensure compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology controls.
Keeper Security said its EPM offering was also built to combat ransomware, a type of malware attack that cybercriminals use to hold an organization’s data for ransom.
The industry-led Ransomware Task Force pegged the average amount of ransomware payment at $233,817 as of the third quarter of 2020, nearly five times as much as the amount from a year before.
ITES-SW2 has categories laid out by Army Network Enterprise Technology Command: audio and visual, business and finance, communication, database, education, internet, modeling and simulation, multimedia and design, NetOps, office suite, office suite, operating systems, programming and development, IT utility and security and specialized.
Carahsoft’s other reseller partners under ITES-SW2 include IronNet, Red River, Vertosoft, Force 3, Epoch Concepts, Blue Tech and Crown Point Systems.
