Carahsoft to Distribute Semperis Identity Service Platform to Public Users

Carahsoft Technology has signed an agreement to serve as a public sector distributor of Semperis’ identity threat detection and response platform. The solution’s contracts will be made available through Carahsoft’s resellers and the National Association of State Procurement Officials’ ValuePoint, National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance and OMNIA Partners.

The partnership with Carahsoft dovetails with the expansion of Semperis’ public sector program as seen in the appointment of Jared Vichengrad as vice president of public sector in December 2022.

According to Carahsoft, the Semperis ITDR provides a multi-layered shield that covers the identity attack cycle occurring on hybrid active directory environments of U.S. public sector entities.

The partnership will fast-track the delivery of solutions to the growing incidence of identity-related attacks on public entities, Carahsoft said.

The company observed that the public sector is particularly exposed to Active Directory attacks because of “legacy infrastructure, lack of identity security expertise and limited resources.” The AD and Entra ID used by more than 90 percent of public sector users are under continuous attack, it added.
