CDAO Seeking Industry Proposals on AI Assurance, Digital Marketing System
The Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office has issued a request for proposals on a portal for technologies assuring secure and reliable AI use in the Department of Defense and providing a branding/digital marketing solution to the platform. The initiative aligns with the DOD’s goal of ensuring responsible AI use while maintaining leadership in technological advancements to support national security.
The industry RFP offers the potential for pilot project awards under the other transaction authority for prototype projects, according to the CDAO notice posted on Tradewinds.
The proposals have to demonstrate expertise in developing, implementing and maintaining a centralized assurance platform that will manage and monitor the performance of the AI systems in the DOD.
In addition, the proponents must outline the AI assurance portal’s branding and digital marketing strategy, including creating and implementing its brand identity, messaging and media campaigns.
CDAO will conduct three rounds on the solicitation, which start with proponents’ submitting a discovery paper, followed by a live presentation round to a government panel and conclude with the government award evaluation.
The selected proposals will qualify for other transaction agreements under 10 USC 4022, which may lead to a subsequent award without further competition depending on the prototype completed. The deadline for the submission of the initial concept paper is on July 27.
