Chainalysis’ Crypto Investigations Platform Secures FedRAMP Authorization

New York City-based blockchain intelligence company Chainalysis Government Solutions announced that its Crypto Investigations solution has received an in-process designation from the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.

An offering of the company’s Chainalysis Government Solutions, the platform is designed for law enforcers, including intelligence, tax and regulatory agents, to uncover leads, assess illicit activities, pursue violators and safeguard the integrity of the digital market. Crypto Investigations is the first blockchain analytics solution to gain the FedRAMP in-process designation, Chainalysis said Friday.

The platform provides a FedRAMP-authorized cloud environment wherein CGS customers could access intelligence for mission-critical action against crypto-related risks, the company added.

Kevin O’Brien, CGS president, said the authorization demonstrates the company’s commitment to the U.S. public sector’s critical missions for a safer world. Chainalysis’ rigorous compliance with FedRAMP standards for the designation is the same approach that the company takes to provide reliable solutions to customers, he added.

The FedRAMP certification follows Chainalysis’ accreditation under the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Service Organization Control Type 2, a cybersecurity compliance framework to ensure that third-party service providers securely store and process client data.

Chainalysis also offers to government users its Blockchain Data platform through a distributorship agreement with Four Inc. initiated in August 2023.
