Chief Master Sgt. Jacob Simmons Named SPACECOM Command Senior Enlisted Leader
U.S. Space Force Chief Master Sgt. Jacob Simmons will assume the role of command senior enlisted leader for the U.S. Space Command in Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. He currently serves as CSEL for Space Operations Command.
According to a June announcement from the Office of the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Simmons will succeed Marine Corps Master Gunnery Sgt. Scott Stalker in the CSEL position for SPACECOM.
CSELs are tasked with keeping commanders and executive officers apprised of workforce developments and delivering orders from such officials to enlisted personnel.
Simmons shared his views on space at a discussion on agile combat employment and enlisted leadership in 2022. He emphasized the complexity of space operations and that the domain “is no longer peaceful, permissive or predictable.”
According to Simmons, innovative solutions will be needed to understand and navigate space at a faster pace, C4ISRNET reported Friday.
