CISA, Expedia Discuss Ways to Secure Traveler Information Amid Growing Threats
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has shared with the Expedia Group ways to protect traveler data amid the growing number of cyberattacks.
As part of the CISA’s Secure Our World campaign, three advisers from the agency’s Region 10 office visited the online travel agency’s Seattle, Washington, office to help the company’s security professionals enhance Expedia’s cyber posture.
Among the presentations during the visit was CISA adviser Jana Spring’s discussion on the convergence of physical and cyber protection strategies to improve an organization’s overall protection, CISA .gov reported.
CISA has been collaborating with the private sector through the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative to address vital cybersecurity issues. The project combines resources from the public and private sectors to help the agency determine future priorities in ensuring national security.
In its 2024 Priorities list, the agency named three broad focus areas, including defending against advanced persistent threat operations, raising the cybersecurity baseline and anticipating emerging technology and risks. The agency said its 2024 agenda allows the government and its partners to better plan and collaborate on addressing cyber issues.
