CISA Launches New Windows-Based Log Management Software
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has released a new logging management software to help organizations detect cyberthreats.
The “Logging Made Easy” software is a Windows-based log management solution that allows users to use readily available data to detect and address threats more efficiently. It can be used to identify vetted protective monitoring capabilities, secure a centralized logging repository and achieve better network visibility.
The software also features self-installation guides, easy integration into logging and protective monitoring strategies and elastic security detection rules, CISA said.
Logging Made Easy is one of several toolkits and guides the agency released in October, two of which were released on the week of Oct. 23.
CISA and the Department of Health and Human Services released the Cybersecurity Toolkit for Healthcare and Public Health, which consolidates several cybersecurity resources from both organizations to help protect against known vulnerabilities facing the health care sector.
In the same week, CISA released new guidance to help small and medium-sized businesses create cyber-resilient information and communications technology supply chain risk management plans.
