CISA Introduces Resources to Help High-Risk Communities Improve Cybersecurity

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is continuing its work to ensure civil society and high-risk communities are protected against cyberattacks.

The federal cybersecurity coordinator is working with various international partners, including the United Kingdom’s National Cyber Security Centre, to counter cyberattacks targeting civil society, helping organizations improve their cyber defense and resilience.

It also introduced several resources for high-risk communities to improve their cyber posture, including launching a webpage dedicated to high-risk communities at CISA .gov and ensuring mission-based organizations have access to free tools and services, CISA said.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that improving cybersecurity is an important initiative at a time when authoritarian and repressive regimes are turning to new technologies to undermine democracy and human rights.

The agency has been working to improve cyber posture across the government and the rest of the world. In the fiscal year 2025 budget proposal, the Department of Homeland Security sought $116 million to address CISA’s staffing and technology issues.
