CMS Awards Leidos $197M Order for Information Technology Support Services

Virginia-based Leidos has received a $197 million order to support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services‘ Office of Information Technology and Infrastructure and User Support Group.

According to a press release, the order also requires Leidos to provide CMS with a “personalized and modern” IT support service. The company is expected to implement processes to streamline end-user experience and integrate advanced technologies across multiple platforms under high data security standards.

Elizabeth Porter, president of Leidos Health Group, said her organization is focused on improving the end-user experience for CMS personnel to facilitate health coverage delivery.

She noted that the order extends ongoing digital modernization work with CMS, Leidos said Monday.

In March, the company secured contracts worth a combined $102 million to provide organizational support to CMS, including a five-year, $79 million prime contract for operations management and managed services delivery. Leidos is tasked with supporting the migration and maintenance of applications on the agency’s hybrid cloud environment.
