CodeMettle to Provide MilSatCom Oversight Software to Marine Corps Under $500M Contract
The U.S. Marine Corps has awarded CodeMettle a five-year, $500 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide new edge node monitoring and management software.
The services will be delivered through the Terminus software, which is designed to configure, manage, monitor and control satellite communications kits and simplify the network operations user experience across new terminals. The software is currently used on over 400 legacy very small aperture terminals.
Work on the contract will be done in partnership with the New York-based VSAT provider Lite Coms, CodeMettle said Tuesday.
The contract supports modernization efforts for the Marine Corps Wideband Satellite Communications Light and MCWS-Heavy systems.
CodeMettle has been providing NetOps support to the U.S. military in recent months.
In June, the company won a U.S. Army contract to provide software licenses for the Integrated NetOps Battalion and Below program. The software allows service members to field and manage disparate and interconnected networks. CodeMettle said its software is platform-agnostic, reduces network setup time and enables multi-vendor network oversight.
