Cognosante Secures $70M SSA Ticket to Work Program Administration Contract

The Social Security Administration has awarded technology solutions provider Cognosante a potential five-year, $70 million contract for Ticket to Work program administration. The award is part of the Ticket Program Manager services contract.

The Falls Church, Virginia-based company will provide contact center operations, claims processing and support, quality assurance, employment network recruiting and community outreach and training. Work will ensure compliance with the Ticket to Work and Work Incentives Improvement Act. The contract has a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, Cognosante said Thursday.

Company president and Potomac Officers Club member James Gordon said the program will ensure that beneficiaries will have an avenue to secure work. He added that Cognosante will work with its J.Lodge subsidiary to support the SSA’s mission.

Ticket to Work is a free and voluntary program that helps people with disabilities secure financial independence and increase their ability to return to the workforce. Individuals aged between 18 and 64 who receive social security benefits due to disabilities are qualified for the program.

Cognosante offers information technology, data science, public health and other transformative solutions to government clients. Its solutions serve a broad market, including military and civilian health care, data and analytics and cybersecurity.
