CyberCatch Releases Solution to Comply With HHS Cybersecurity Practices Standard

Artificial intelligence-enabled Software-as-a-Service solution provider CyberCatch Holdings has released a solution to help organizations comply with the Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Industry Cybersecurity Practices.

The Healthcare Compliance Manager solution comes with several features, including a workflow engine for compliance risk assessment, compliance tips and charts, reports and evidence repository, CyberCatch said.

The solution comes at a time when the health sector is constantly facing threats from hackers. HHS disclosed that U.S. hospitals and other health care organizations are common targets for malicious actors, with an average of 58 cyberattacks in a month and more than 71 million patients’ health information stolen in 2023.

The federal government has been working to ensure health care organizations are protected from cyberattacks. In October, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency introduced a toolkit combining all resources to help organizations protect their systems from threats. HICP was among those included in the Cybersecurity Toolkit for Healthcare and Public Health.

According to Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services Andrea Palm, HICP ensures health care institutions have the tools to plan their way against cyberthreats.

HICP is also an initiative to ensure the seamless delivery of health care services despite numerous attack attempts.
