DC3 Appoints Joshua Black as Interim Executive Director
The Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center has appointed Joshua Black, a speaker at the Potomac Officers Club’s recent Cyber Summit, as interim executive director following the departure of Jude Sunderbruch in June.
Black will perform the executive director tasks in addition to his responsibilities as DC3 deputy director while the organization seeks a permanent replacement.
Sunderbrunch, a past POC speaker, retired from the Senior Executive Service and Air Force Reserve before he stepped down from his recent role, the DC3 said.
He joined DC3 in August 2022 and played a key role in expanding the organization’s workforce supporting digital and multimedia forensics, cyber training, technical solutions development and cyber analytics for various DOD mission areas.
Before moving to DC3, he was the executive director of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations
He began serving in the U.S. Air Force as an active duty AFOSI special agent in 1994. Sunderbrunch held the role until 2001 and then became a civil servant and a reservist.
