DIA Names Christine Bordine as New Deputy Director

The Defense Intelligence Agency has appointed Christine Bordine as its next deputy director.

Bordine will succeed Suzanne White, who has been serving as the deputy director since 2018, the DIA said.

Experienced in activities within the intelligence community, Bordine most recently served as the deputy director of the Directorate of Capabilities at the National Security Agency, spearheading a workforce of 14,000 personnel.

Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Kruse, DIA director, praised Bordine’s leadership and experience, and welcomed her back to the agency. Bordine previously served as the vice deputy director for collection management and the vice principal deputy director for intelligence integration at the DIA.

Kruse, a 2024 Wash100 awardee, also thanked White for her six-year service and her impact on the agency. Before becoming deputy director, White served as the DIA’s chief of staff in 2014.

As the second-highest-ranking officer at the agency, Bordine will help fulfill the DIA’s longstanding mission of providing defense intelligence on foreign militaries to enhance U.S. security and support both military customers and national policymakers.
