Douglas Robertson Assumes Role as Small Business Administration Chief Technology Officer
Douglas Robertson has assumed the position of chief technology officer at the Small Business Administration, where he is tasked with forming an organizational strategy, establishing security programs and utilizing new capabilities to improve programming and performance within operations.
In a statement to Nextgov/FCW, the SBA explained that Robertson is part of the chief information office leadership and is expected to advance agency goals by participating in high-impact initiatives and setting technology standards.
Robertson has been part of the SBA since 2020. His achievements include leading a Paycheck Protection Program team responsible for establishing systems to process $15 billion and 140,000 first-round loan applications.
He also handled contracts for agile software project management that led to upgrades to the SBA’s content management system and the implementation of the Veterans Certification Program, Nextgov/FCW reported.
According to Robertson’s LinkedIn profile, his educational background includes a master of business administration in international business and a master’s degree in project management from the George Washington University School of Business.
