FedRAMP Authorization Granted to Identiv’s Access Control Solutions

Identiv, a Fremont, California-based internet of things security and identification solutions provider, received Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program marketplace authorization for its cloud-based access control solutions.

FedRAMP authorization was granted to the Hirsch Velocity security management software, Velocity Vision video management system and Hirsch Mx Controller suite. The products are physical access control solutions that use the cloud to enable secure access control for federal government clients.

The products were granted authorization after years of assessments. They were also certified as Federal Identity, Credential and Access Management-compliant, Identiv said Thursday.

Hirsch Velocity is a product that allows users to identify individuals who enter premises and enables real-time access control and monitoring. It is also interoperable and flexible, allowing users to adjust the offering to suit changing needs.

The Velocity Vision VMS is an open application programming interface security platform that works with existing solutions to improve situational awareness. It enables real-time threat detection and damage mitigation and can be operated through on-premises, cloud, hybrid and mobile platforms.

The Hirsch Mx Controller suite is an integrated network communication hardware that enables the monitoring of large buildings and worksites. It is designed to work with the Velocity software.
