FedRAMP Launches New Website to Support Digital Authorization Packages
The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program has launched automate.fedramp .gov, a new website designed to streamline the digital authorization process for cloud service providers and developers of governance, risk and compliance applications.
Serving as the technical documentation hub, the website will be a centralized resource for the development, validation and submission of digital authorization packages, FedRAMP said.
Initially, the website will document the program’s use of the Open Security Controls Assessment Language, a key element of FedRAMP’s data-first approach, in the authorization process.
According to FedRAMP, automate.fedramp .gov offers comprehensive technical documentation, best practices and instructions for creating and managing OSCAL-based digital authorization packages.
The website also promises several enhancements, including faster and more frequent updates to documentation, an improved user experience and a collaborative workflow for community feedback and contributions to enhance documentation.
Automate.fedramp .gov replaces the previously published FedRAMP Oscal User Guides and offers reorganized content with an open-source framework to encourage community involvement.
