Fend, Carahsoft Enter Into Agreement to Offer Cybersecurity Products to Public Sector

Carahsoft Technology said it will distribute Arlington, Virginia-based Fend’s data diode and critical infrastructure analysis tools to the public sector under a new partnership.

Government organizations can access the products through resellers or contract vehicles such as NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V and Information Technology Enterprise Solutions – Software 2, Carahsoft said.

According to a press release, NASA and some U.S. Army and U.S. Navy organizations trust that Fend can secure critical assets.

Fend’s data diodes utilize a physics-based approach to set up a one-way path for secure data transmission. According to Carahsoft, the technology could enhance productivity for maintenance and security operations center employees.

Carahsoft added that Fend’s offering can form part of a zero trust-compatible defense strategy alongside intrusion detection and internal network security monitoring systems.

Alec Wyhs, sales director and Fend team lead at Carahsoft, said innovative cybersecurity solutions are increasingly in demand due to rising cyberthreats to critical infrastructure.
