Forescout Undertakes Authority-to-Operate Pilot Program With Carahsoft, Google, StackArmor

Carahsoft Technology, Forescout Technologies and stackArmor are partnering with Google Public Sector to conduct an authority-to-operate pilot program aimed at facilitating government access to independent software vendor products.

Forescout, an ISV, aims to make its Cloud software-as-a-service cybersecurity platform available to the public sector through the pilot program. Built on Google Cloud, the company’s offering works to continuously monitor cyber assets and serve as a base for risk management and threat response solutions.

Paul Kao, Forescout’s vice president of product and engineering, noted that joining the program accelerates his company’s path to Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program compliance. He added that Forescout chose stackArmor to provide engineering expertise and assist with the accreditation process.

According to Carahsoft President Craig Abod, a 2023 Wash100 awardee, combining his company’s market access capabilities with stackArmor’s ThreatAlert ATO Accelerator creates an accreditation-to-acquisition solution for Forescout and other ISVs.

ThreatAlert provides a secure-by-design architecture to protect sensitive data and accelerate the process of becoming compliant with FedRAMP and Department of Defense security standards, Carahsoft said Wednesday.
