GDIT Secures $185M Air Force Contract for Cybersecurity Services

The 772nd Enterprise Sourcing Squadron at Tyndall Air Force Base has awarded General Dynamics Information Technology a $185 million task order to provide cybersecurity services for the Air Force Civil Engineer Center.

Under the contract, GDIT will develop strategies to reduce cybersecurity risks to the Air Force’s industrial control systems, encompassing building automation, life safety, utility monitoring and airfield control across 188 installations globally, GDIT said.

GDIT will leverage its cybersecurity and zero trust expertise to support the AFCEC, which manages facility planning, construction, property management and environmental compliance.

The award, which has a one-year base and four option years, follows a $4.5 billion contract that GDIT won in 2023 for security support services for the Air Force’s critical programs.

Brian Sheridan, senior vice president of GDIT’s defense sector, emphasized the importance of protecting operational technologies for national security and highlighted the company’s commitment to continuing its 50-year partnership with the Air Force to secure critical infrastructure.
