GSA Appoints Mukunda Penugonde as Technology Transformation Services Deputy Director

Mukunda Penugonde has taken on the role of Technology Transformation Services deputy director at the General Services Administration. He joined TTS on April 10 after a stint as director of technical program management at Disney Streaming.

As deputy director, Penugonde will oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives and the delivery of TTS products and services. He will also focus on direction setting and operational frameworks, FedScoop reported. Prior to joining Disney, Penugonde served as the director of business technology and operations at Hulu and as the senior director of program management at Sony Interactive Entertainment.

According to TTS Director Ann Lewis, the new deputy director has significant experience in leading and managing organizational change, including introducing and adopting new frameworks to increase collaboration across products and programs.

A GSA spokesperson, meanwhile, confirmed the appointment of Mehul Parekh as senior adviser for operations at TTS. Parekh, who has served the agency for over five years, most recently was GSA’s deputy chief financial officer. According to the spokesperson, Parekh will help develop and implement a stronger internal controls environment at TTS.
