GSA Awards XTec-IDEMIA Partnership Personal Identity Verification Services Contract

The General Services Administration has awarded secure identity and access management solutions provider XTec and its strategic partner IDEMIA Public Security a blanket purchase agreement to provide personal identity verification cardstock and personalization services.

XTec Executive Vice President Kevin Kozlowski said that the company’s selection will help government agencies have innovative solutions that meet their unique needs.

The contract benefits from the organization’s partnership as it combines XTec’s identity and access management expertise and IDEMIA’s Smartcard technology to help agencies ensure they meet their security needs, XTec said.

The GSA has been leading several initiatives to ensure the government takes advantage of what technology offers to improve its operations and public service. In March, it announced changes to the cloud acquisition practice, allowing federal agencies to purchase services on a consumption-based model to level the federal government’s practice with that of the private sector.

Apart from leading technology modernization initiatives, GSA is also focused on working with small- and medium-sized businesses from underserved communities to improve contracting equity and address challenges they continuously face.
