GSA Conducting Market Research for IT Investment Transparency Contract

The General Services Administration has issued a request for information for the upcoming Governmentwide IT Transparency Professional Support Services contract, with responses due Aug. 31.

Work under GITPSS would support the need for more information about how the federal government spends and manages its information technology budget, Nextgov reported.

One of the main services required by GSA falls under data analytics, which includes the review, analysis and presentation of data to support agencies in developing strategies in the areas of IT spend and acquisition.

Requested customer assistance and related support services can be divided into three areas: specialized IT subject matter support, communications and outreach support and web content management support.

GSA is also in need of contractor support for program/project management, strategic planning, training and services in support of federal executive councils.

The selected vendor will be tasked with helping various GSA-based programs and offices.

Another agency-wide IT contract is in the works at the Department of Commerce. The planned Commerce Acquisition for Transformational Technology Services contract is meant to accelerate tech procurement, minimize the cost of infrastructure upgrades and establish the agency as a federal leader in IT.
