Guidehouse Receives Contract to Prototype Army Predictive Analysis Capability

The Department of Defense has awarded Washington, D.C.-based managed services provider Guidehouse a contract to create a prototype of the U.S. Army’s Prognostics & Predictive Maintenance capability.

Under the contract, Guidehouse will work with enterprise data and analytics software company TIBCO Software to provide an on-demand prognostic and predictive maintenance analytical capability. The company will also analyze data to make sound predictions on equipment conditions, readiness and operational availability. The solution will use multiple data sources and will be designed to support users in improving warfighter equipment, Guidehouse said.

The PPMx capability is expected to help the Army in providing analysis for fleet management, deployment, supply chain and maintenance activities. Its capabilities are designed to improve fleet readiness across the service.

Ed Meehan, the lead official at Guidehouse Defense Segment and a 2018 Wash100 winner, said the company provides solutions that help clients adopt new technologies and techniques to achieve greater performance. He added that tech-enabled advancements are needed for mission success.

Guidehouse offers a wide variety of services to defense, energy, health, national security and government clients. Some of the company’s services cover cybersecurity, portfolio management, sustainability, technology solutions and strategic development.

TIBCO offers multiple solutions that support a broad range of businesses and government agencies. It offers application programming interface management, data management and intelligence solutions and services.
