Guidehouse Serves as Fiscal Transfer Agent for SBA Loan Program
Guidehouse, a consultancy services provider, announced that it now serves as the fiscal transfer agent for the Small Business Administration’s 7(a) Loan Program and Secondary Market.
The SBA said that Guidehouse is now the central registry for all guaranteed individual loans and SBA pool certificate interests.
The company is also the agency’s paying agent for all investor payments, in addition to being in charge of lender loan reporting and payment remittance reconciliations, according to the SBA website.
According to Guidehouse, it is part of a team tasked with operating and modernizing the loan program‘s business processes and technology platform.
Wells Fargo, Information Analysis Incorporated, Select Computing and LeapPoint are the other collaborators in the effort, Guidehouse said.
“SBA’s vision for the FTA contract is to establish a true public-private partnership enabling the industry to drive requirements for modernized systems and market transparency,” said Steve Kucharski, director of SBA’s Office of Performance and Systems Management.
Scott McIntyre, CEO of Guidehouse and a five-time Wash100 winner, said the company will deliver technology transformation services built on its decade-long experience in supporting SBA’s Office of Capital Access.
Guidehouse said it will leverage its own and its partners’ expertise in federal loan program credentials, enterprise architecture and large-scale technology modernization programs.
It also added that its goal is to establish SBA’s 7(a) Program and Secondary Market as the government-wide standard for executing federal credit programs.
Guidehouse is a management consulting firm headquartered in Washington, D.C. The firm offers services in technology and risk management.
