HII Mission Technologies Books $305M Contract to Support US Intelligence Operations in South Korea

HII’s Mission Technologies division has secured a $305 million contract from the Defense Intelligence Agency for intelligence analysis support services to help United States Forces Korea to determine enemy capabilities, threats and courses of action in its jurisdiction.

The task order the DIA initiated for the Joint Intelligence Operations Center-Korea also calls for Mission Technologies’ assistance in improving USFK access to regional and global intelligence networks for the protection of American personnel and interests in the Korean theater of operations, HII said Tuesday

The 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, also known as Team 19, has about 5,600 personnel and is the only theater-committed, forward-deployed U.S. Army unit.

Todd Gentry, Mission Technologies’ C5ISR business group president, expressed excitement about the contract award and the opportunity to expand work with the joint staff, Team 19 and intelligence agencies. The HII division’s experts offer a long experience in national security analysis and advisory services and “are committed to protecting U.S. regional interests,” Gentry added.

The DIA award is a recompeted contract with a five-year term and is an extension of a previous task order the agency awarded in 2019.
