HII to Support Joint Training Synthetic Environment Under $197M DOD Task Order

HII Mission Technologies has secured a five-year, $197 million recompete task order to provide research and development services in support of the Joint Training Synthetic Environment.

The company will develop, maintain, support and provide synthetic joint training across for the U.S. military, federal agencies and other partners. JTSE combines virtual and live training into a synthetic environment, allowing trainees to improve joint force readiness and enable accessible exercises that emulate real-world scenarios.

The task order was awarded under the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center’s multiple-award contract, HII said.

The award builds on several contracts the company secured in 2023.

One of the contracts HII received in October is a $134 million U.S. Navy task order for readiness and training software development support for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division. HII was tasked with supporting various systems, including the Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense and the Anti-Submarine Warfare Trainer platforms.

In August, HII Mission Technologies received a contract for two Remus 620 submarines for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The submarines will provide underwater maps and insights to help researchers study environmental trends.
