ICF to Build FEMA’s Cloud Platform for Enhanced Data Sharing, Analytics
ICF, a global consulting and technology services provider, has secured a $17 million data modernization contract from the Office of Policy and Program Analysis within the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The contract requires the development of a cloud-based Data Exchange platform that will enhance FEMA’s data sharing and data analytics capabilities to improve decision-making, collaboration and disaster management, the ICF said Monday.
According to the company, it will build FEMADex using cloud computing, generative artificial intelligence, DevSecOps, Agile and advanced analytics capabilities and deliver a modernized Azure Databricks-based solution to implement the platform.
“Improving data quality, timeliness and accessibility will give FEMA leaders access to critical insights that will enable stronger knowledge sharing and better support to local communities as they look to make quicker, more informed decisions to help impacted citizens and improve disaster response efficiency,” said James Morgan, ICF chief operating officer and a past Wash100 awardee.
The contract award builds on the company’s decades-long experience providing cloud services focused on disaster management to various federal agencies.
