ICF Secures $50M in CMS Systems Modernization Contract Extensions From HHS
ICF has secured two contract option-year extensions from the Department of Health and Human Services worth a total of $50 million to modernize systems for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid.
For the first contract extension, ICF will transition the CMS Quality Improvement and Evaluation System into the cloud-based Internet Quality Improvement System. The cloud integration effort is expected to improve user experience, data transparency, quality, security and cost-effectiveness.
For the second contract, ICF will continue developing the cloud-based Quality Measures Implementation and Reporting system. The new offering, designed to modernize data processing and reporting aspects of the iQIES, is expected to improve access to critical patient care information, ICF said Thursday.
The U.S. health care sector has been relying on ICF for modernization services, as evidenced by contracts the company received in recent months.
In February, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration awarded ICF five service agreements worth $24 million to support various mental health programs. Three of the awards focus on enhancing the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and other reporting systems while the remaining agreements are for substance abuse and mental health program support.
In January, the HHS awarded ICF a potential three-year, $33 million recompete contract to modernize the End Stage Renal Disease Quality Reporting System operated by CMS.
